Multilingual Website

Squarespace has a first-party multilingual website functionality. This allows the user to add several languages to their website. While Webflow does not offer a first-party app for the same purpose, it offers an extensive catalog of integrations to choose from that allow the user to add the multilingual functionality to their website.

Mobile App

Both softwares have a mobile app that allows the users to edit and create new content on their website. While not all the features of the desktop versions are available on mobile, the user still has the possibility to monitor their website and edit its texts.

Webflow offers the user more than 500 templates to choose from of which 40 are free. Both the free and premium templates are excellent at various functions. The downside of Webflow’s premium templates is the price, any premium template can cost anything between $30 to $150. Webflow templates come with different sets of elements that fit their specific style. On the other hand, Squarespace offers 110 templates, and all of them are free to use but they do not possess the great array of pre-made layouts that Webflow does. In short, Squarespace grants the user a vast library of templates that are free to use but they are not quite as customizable as the templates offered by Webflow.

Unlimited Storage

Both softwares offer unlimited storage to the user for their website. However, Webflow has a limit on how many items can be stored in its CMS, this limit is dictated by the monthly plan chosen by the user. Moreover, while Squarespace offers unlimited bandwidth for all its plans, Webflow only gives 50 GB on its lowest-paid site plan and 400 GB on its most expensive one.

SEO Features

Both Webflow and Squarespace offer a very basic set of SEO tools such as basic site maps, robots.txt, and the ability to customize the site’s URLs. While these basic tools are something to work with, the user does not have much more control beyond them. Any users who value SEOs as an important feature for their websites should look at other website-building softwares such as WordPress.

eCommerce Functions

Squarespace has solid eCommerce functionalities and allows customers to create a customer account, moreover, it has an integrated payment function. While Webflow does not offer a first-party payment functionality, it does allow the user to install any needed eCommerce feature thanks to their large library of integrations and the ability to work with HTML/CSS.
